Annapurna Region Trekking
Annapurna region is one of the best areas for trekking in Nepal- offering a variety of excellent treks of all grades and styles. According to a recent survey by Modern Maturity (USA) Annapurna region has been recognized as one of the world’s best trekking trails. More than 50,000 tourists annually visit this area. The region introduces us Nepal's spectacular diversity at its finest: various tribes and castes, a wide range of terrain, wooded alpine pastures from sub-tropical rainforest to hidden valleys, the deepest gorge of the world and windswept desert plateaus. The trails are good, the walking is relaxed and the spectacular 8000m mountains are breathtaking!
Our trek takes us along river valleys, up stone staircases, through rice paddies and rhododendron forests. On the way we cross the Thorong La pass (5416m), a challenging ascent and encounter numerous monkeys, birds and flowers. The popular trekking routes of this region are Jomsom, Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp, Sikles, Lamjung, Dhaulagiri, Upper Mustang and around Pokhara. The best time to visit this region is during spring and autumn. Unlike other parts of Nepal, even the monsoon months are ideal to visit to Upper Mustang that falls in the rain shadow area. Most trekking routes in the Annapurna region are well organized in lodge based style. Regardless of the trek chosen, it is most likely that Pokhara would be either the starting or ending point of most of the treks in the Annapurna region.
Annapurna Base Camp Trekking
Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek is a popular trekking trail in Annapurna region. The trek offers an opportunity to get to high Himalayan altitudes where glaciers replace rivers. One has to ascend the foothills from Pokhara, appreciating the slate-roofed tropical villages and magnificent rhododendron forests, gorges, etc., and when we climb higher, we will get to the hidden world of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Annapurna Circuit Trek
Annapurna circuit trekking gives you an opportunity to explore Himalaya
experience of your life time. This trek is one of contrasts between the
green terraced farmland of the Marshyangdi valley and the semi-arid
environs of Lower Mustang. The two areas are separated by the Thorong
La (5416m), which we must cross on a long day, to reach the sacred site
of Muktinath.
Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
Because of the amazing scenery in the Annapurna Sanctuary, this trek
has become one of the most popular in Nepal. The sanctuary is a huge
amphitheater surrounded by 10 peaks that are more than 20,000 feet
(6,100m) tall, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III,
and Machapuchere.
Jomsom Muktinath Trek
The Jomsom trek is most popular trek in Nepal. The diverse landscapes
and cultures to be found along the trek route give a marvelous insight
into the way of life of rural people. The route to Jomsom up the Kali
Gandaki River passes through a gap in the Himalayan barrier in the
bottom of the deepest river canyon in the world.
Ghorepani Poonhill Trek

is truly called as all the best of the trekking in Nepal. The trek

inhabited particularly by the Gurungs & Magars, dense rhododendron
forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the
Annapurna with the picturesque peak of Machapuchere (Fishtail Peak)
dominating the skyline.

it also provides some wonderful close up views of both the sacred
mountain Machapuchere (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. Our destination
is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna
Conservation Area Project. Here you have a chance to visit the project
